Recreational Vehicle Registration
Residents of Easton may register their recreational vehicle at the Town Office during regular business hours of 8 AM to 4:30 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8 AM to 6 PM on Tuesday, and 8 AM to 3 PM on Friday.
If a boat, snowmobile, or ATV was purchased from a private person, please bring an old registration, if available. It contains all the information needed to do a new registration. If an old registration is not available, please provide the number affixed to the side of the vehicle and the serial numbers. A bill of sale is also required. If a recreational vehicle was purchased from a dealership, proof that sales tax has been paid is required.

Boat Registrations are not available online for the Town of Easton.
Snowmobile registrations are $45 plus an agent fee ($2 new, $1 renewal).
ATV registrations are $33 plus an agent fee ($2 new, $1 renewal).
Registrations expire on June 30th of each year.
Boat Registrations
The “Lake and River Protection” sticker is now attached to and issued with the temporary and permanent boat sticker. The fee for the resident sticker is $10 in addition to all other registration fees. It is unlawful to operate a motorboat or personal watercraft on inland waters after January 1, 2002, without this sticker. The purpose of this sticker is to prevent the introduction of Invasive Aquatic Plants to Maine waters. The sale of the stickers funds the prevention program.
Boat registrations are subject to the excise tax. The amount of the tax is based on the length of the boat, the age of the boat, and the horsepower of the motor. The registration fee is based on the horsepower of the motor. An agent fee of $1 is also collected. Boat excise tax must be paid in the owner’s town of residence regardless of where the boat is docked. Boat registrations expire on December 31st each year.
