Government
The Town of Easton is incorporated and governed by the Town Charter, the Board of Selectmen, as well as numerous appointed boards, committees, and officials. The Town Manager is appointed by the Board of Selectmen and is responsible for administering the policies as established by the Board of Selectmen. The Manager serves as the chief administrative officer and head of the administrative branch of the Town Government. The duties include the complete executive direction of the administrative services of the Town. The legislative body of the Municipal Government is the Annual Town Meeting, at which any registered voter of the Town of Easton may participate and vote on articles in the warrant.
Annual Town Meeting
The Annual Town Meeting is held the first Monday of April, at which time the Annual Town Warrant is voted on by registered voters of Easton to authorize the collection of taxes, appropriation of funds in the Town Budget, and other items pertinent to the operation of government.
